A Vanier CEGEP colleague and a member of the Montreal Health Press, Marilyn’s effervescence, generosity and kindness shined through everything she undertook, from volunteer work (including demanding leadership positions) in Jewish, education and feminist communities, to teaching Sociology and Women Studies. She was devoted to her spouse, her family and especially her 8 grandchildren, having fun together but also imparting humanistic values which were so important to her. She maintained friendships with high school buddies till the last of her days and always made time for her many friends – often at the other end of the phone line.  She was a source of inspiration and a true mensch.
